Africa Rising is a book co-edited by Design Indaba (a multi-faceted design platform known for its annual conference on design in Cape Town) and Gestalten, with the aim of making an inventory of the contemporary African design and artistic scenes. The curation is based on experimental trials, traditional know-hows and the way crafts can be a catalyst for social and economic development.
